As mentioned certified fish are available but it is a long term project and they have a well known habit of not being caught after stocking!Travelling Manhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13072857145839783661noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6408027123075357822.post-87937181420263361842012-04-07T22:19:02.708+01:002012-04-07T22:19:02.708+01:00It is Rob, Leamington Angling bought a batch of ce...It is Rob, Leamington Angling bought a batch of certified crucians to top up the stock in Snitterfield reservoir a couple of years ago. Beautiful little fish and growing on strong I might add.

I agree with the previous sentiments. How about a crucian and silver bream venue, with rudd over the top for spice. Only 4 x 5lbers of each species permitted entrance and the pit is the size of Belgium.Keith .Jhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08347874772855942313noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6408027123075357822.post-20100029271972538172012-04-07T21:03:15.941+01:002012-04-07T21:03:15.941+01:00Yes you have to do work parties at the start of yo...Yes you have to do work parties at the start of your second year I think.

Trouble is you need specimen sized fish to make it attractive, you can go and catch smaller sized fish of these species no problem, though crucians are the oddity due to the crossbreading issues, if you wanted to stock with true crucians is it even possible to buy them?loughborough soarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16689930577281555050noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6408027123075357822.post-31500184445601507292012-04-07T20:37:01.232+01:002012-04-07T20:37:01.232+01:00Marsh Pratley tried the silver fish route on the C...Marsh Pratley tried the silver fish route on the Club Lake at Orchid. Although lots of anglers had said they wanted such a venue very few turned up, and he had to put carp in to make it viable.

Hopefully I will get night fishing on Marsh Farm on a guest ticket of a member [John Found]. I was a full member for a period but the need to do work parties spoiled that option, travelling 130 just for that did not make sense.Travelling Manhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13072857145839783661noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6408027123075357822.post-68264644653253208032012-04-07T15:22:16.174+01:002012-04-07T15:22:16.174+01:00Sounds good, but might have to wait till one of us...Sounds good, but might have to wait till one of us, or someone like minded has the right oppurtunity to carry it out.

In the mean time its either fish to around 2lb ish or long distance excursions.Lee Fletcherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00685597805202369375noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6408027123075357822.post-17311516322444564932012-04-07T14:43:16.233+01:002012-04-07T14:43:16.233+01:00I don't think anyone's got the balls to tr...I don't think anyone's got the balls to try to be honest, crucians tench and roach in a lake, not much conflict there and I think most of us lot would be willing punters wouldn't we. Isn't it a shame that there aren't more good crucian waters about. If I came into a fortune I wouldn't waste it on a huge house, a complex of lakes would be made with lakes dedicated to some of the more neglected speciesloughborough soarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16689930577281555050noreply@blogger.com
